action. We work to dismantle systemic stigma and promote Substance Use Health for all people on
all pathways to wellness. For more than a decade, we have led practical training, research, and
community events with service providers, policymakers, employers, and academics to promote
and design equitable services and supports. Our work blends practice-based, scientific, and
experiential expertise, and is led by systemic stigma experts with backgrounds in education,
research, clinical practice, and policy.

About the Position

CAPSA is seeking a dynamic and skilled Bilingual Training and Education Specialist to join our team and
support our mission. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including healthcare,
community organizations and corporate partners, to create and implement programs and initiatives that
support the improvement of people’s Substance Use Health.

Job Responsibilities

Education and Training

  • Deliver education and training to organizations and groups.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve program content and delivery methods to ensure
    effectiveness and engagement.
  • Collaborate in the development of new trainings and training materials in conjunction with
    leadership and CAPSA staff.
  • Collaborate on projects and co-designed, co-led events with and for partner organizations.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Liaise with all team members to ensure coordination education and training activities.
  • Involve key CAPSA team members in projects as needed.
  • Identify new opportunities to engage with and respond to the needs of partners, stakeholders,
    and healthcare/private systems.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and evaluate progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure
    successful delivery of initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years facilitation experience.
  • Bilingual French/English, with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to travel within the region and nationally.
  • Substance use related lived/living experience.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team context.
