RECOVERY DAY OTTAWA
Recovery Day Ottawa is an annual community event organized by CAPSA in the month of September. Our purpose is to help reduce stigma about addiction and raise awareness about recovery in our community. Our goal is to engage the broader community by building partnerships with local, provincial and national organizations and raising awareness through our BE AN ALLY public awareness campaign.
As part of our mandate, we reach out to community organizations who are involved in addiction treatment and addiction-related services. If you or your organization would like to get involved, please contact Festival Producer Gord Garner at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Recovery Day Ottawa 2019, is held at Ottawa City Hall. It includes musical performances, an educational series, community fair with over 50 participating organizations, KidZone, BBQ and social fair, in addition to our signature Rally in Support of Addiction Recovery.
Recovery Day Ottawa and CAPSA will once again be hosting a Movie in the Park event on July 26, 2019. This summer’s feature film: Disney Pixar’s Inside Out.
Bring the family, lawn chairs, and your favourite blanket, and settle in for a wonderful evening under the stars with this fantastic film. Popcorn and pretzels will be provided as refreshments.
Volunteers will be on-site to set up at 6 pm. Arrive at 7 pm to get a good spot and enjoy the show. The screening will begin at 9 pm. Thanks to Centretown Movies
