Recovery Day Ottawa is an annual community event organized by CAPSA in the month of September. Our purpose is to help reduce stigma about substance use disorder and raise awareness about increased wellness in our community. Our goal is to engage the broader community by building partnerships with local, provincial and national organizations and raising awareness through our BE AN ALLY public awareness campaign.
As part of our mandate, we reach out to community organizations who are involved in substance use disorder treatment and related services. If you or your organization would like to get involved, please contact Festival Producer Gord Garner at ggarner@capsa.ca.
Recovery Day Ottawa 2019, is held at Ottawa City Hall. It includes musical performances, an educational series, community fair with over 50 participating organizations, KidZone, BBQ and social fair, in addition to our signature rally in support of increased wellness from substance use disorder.
