“APAP™ is a wonderful group, which offers an excellent reflection and sharing opportunity, and a very supportive space. They look at substance use very objectively, which I think is necessary for anyone struggling with these kinds of patterns of using substances, or anyone who feels like there is something on their mind they need to understand.
There’s a lot of feedback cycles that can occur when you slip into these behaviours, and if you aren’t able to frame these feedback loops in a healthy and objective manner it can drive you back into those behaviours, starting the cycle again.
If I was faced with these thought patterns again, I know they would be willing to investigate it with me and reframe it in a way that leads to learning. This openness and objectivity would be helpful for anyone facing this kind of thing, so I would recommend it to anyone who finds themselves faced with this kind of pattern of constantly looking for a solution outside of themselves.”
