Systems Stigma Navigator

Ashleigh Hyland is a fully bilingual graduate from the University of Ottawa, holding an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Ashleigh shares a passion for needed systems change, which has led her work with CAPSA, where she is an expert and educator on the impacts of substance use stigma, the Principle of Substance Use Health and person-first language. Ashleigh works as a Systems Stigma Navigation Program Manager, where she leads the successful delivery of CAPSA’s programs and services, that are aimed to transforms stigma into compassionate, implement strengths-based policies and practices, and promote equity for people’s Substance Use Health.
