Compassionate Care

Deepening the Practice

Join CAPSA for an immersive and comprehensive half-day workshop designed to provide practical tools and concepts to counter frustration and fatigue, to maintain your wellness while caring for others. Gain the necessary skills to challenge false beliefs and to guide ourselves to compassionate practices.

The workshop format encourages active participation and fosters a collaborative learning environment, allowing participants to engage deeply with the content. You will leave this workshop with the knowledge and skills to identify and develop a healthy roadway to compassionate care.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this training, you will:

    Gain an In-Depth Understanding of Compassionate Practices:

    Have a profound understanding of how and why many people with lived and living experience have learned to stay healthy while helping others. Participants will be able to identify when this knowledge overlaps with evidence-based practices for helping.

    Be Actively Engaged:

    Actively participate in a collaborative learning environment, enhancing your skills and engagement with the subject matter. During this workshop, you will follow along with the provided Training Companion resource and take this away to further deepen your healthy practices of compassionate care.

    Acquire Practical Application Skills:

    Acquire actionable tools and approaches to build healthy roadways to compassionate care, inspiring you to apply what you’ve learned to your daily life and professional practice.

    Have Comprehensive Knowledge:

    You will develop the skills necessary to identify and effectively challenge stigmatizing beliefs about those you help and support.

    Learn Transformative Insights:

    Develop insights that will enable you to contribute to creating a more compassionate practice. This will help you to model health and wellness while supporting others.
