Learning Outcomes
By the end of this training, you will:
Develop Enhanced Awareness:
Through this 2-hour training, participants will develop a heightened awareness of their own biases and gain a deeper understanding of the perspectives and experiences of individuals who use substances.
Gain a Comprehensive Understanding of Stigma:
Participants will gain valuable insights into the detrimental effects of stigma and its far-reaching impact on both individuals and society as a whole.
Acquire Practical Strategies:
Attendees will acquire practical, evidence-based strategies to actively eliminate stigma, both in their professional roles their communities and in their daily lives.

Participants will learn how language can affect others in a negative way and how person -first language can constructively shape people’s attitudes and perceptions regarding substance use health.
